Caitlin M. has a Masters in Library Science from the Palmer School in Manhattan, and has worked primarily with comic book collections and alternative libraries. These include The Center for Cartoon Studies, The Elizabeth Seton Pediatric Center, Marvel Comics, the Bulliet Comics Collection at Columbia University, and CUNY Hunter‘s Zabar Art Library.

She is currently working as the head librarian at The Schulz Library of The Center for Cartoon Studies, where she wrangles comics, zines, and graphic novels for the student body and visiting researchers. Her main focus at the library is building and maintaining a brand new Koha-based catalog for the collection, as well as managing donations and acquisitions. Stop by The Schulz Library blog!

In January of 2010, she wrote an article entitled “Comic Book Maintenance and Preservation for Archives and Special Collections” for Diamond Comic’s “Bookshelf” publication.

She has also won a fancy award from the New York Library Club, which some people wrote about.
